A journey that left me both enchanted and inspired...
Oh my goodness, Ecuador and the Galápagos—where do I even begin? I had the absolute honor of experiencing these places in October 2019, and it truly felt like an adventure out of a dream. I cruised through the magical Galápagos Archipelago on the Sea Star luxury yacht—12 passengers, personalized exploration, and world-class naturalist guides. I couldn’t believe I was snorkeling with white-tipped reef sharks and watching blue-footed boobies perform their quirky mating dances, all while experiencing the beautiful harmony between the people and nature on these enchanted islands. The Sea Star, with its ease and charm, made this epic adventure unforgettable. Then there’s Ecuador. It’s a country that feels alive in every way. I stayed at Illa Experiences Hotel in Quito, a colonial gem with views of the surrounding mountains and the Virgin of El Panecillo. The culture and hospitality of Ecuador is unparalleled, and one of the highlights was our spontaneous music session at Cotacachi Lagoon with our local guide Jorge—Spanish and Polish tunes, heartwarming laughter, and pure magic in the air. From the full immersion in Quito's rich history to the playful dolphins of Galápagos, every moment felt personal and profound. If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Ecuador & the Galápagos should absolutely be on your bucket list!
