A Taste of Ka-ZA

A Life Enriching Journey - Conservation Safari Expedition

This is a safari without borders—an unforgettable journey dedicated to the protection of species and the celebration of nature’s wonders across Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia.

Imagine embarking on a journey through the largest contiguous nature reserve on Earth—a sprawling 520,000 km² playground where Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe have joined forces to create a living, breathing masterpiece of biodiversity. The Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KA-ZA TFCA) isn’t just a destination; it’s a wild, borderless safari adventure that brings you face-to-face with UNESCO World Heritage wonders like Victoria Falls, the Okavango Delta, and the mystical Tsodilo Hills. And let’s not forget—the Okavango River itself springs from the highlands of Angola, fanning out into Botswana’s legendary delta.

This isn’t your typical safari—it’s an adrenaline-charged, soul-stirring expedition across Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia, where every stop is a story and every moment is a memory in the making.

Victoria Falls & Boutique Luxury

Kick off your adventure at the Stanley and Livingstone Boutique Hotel, then witness the raw power of Victoria Falls—one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Whether you’re up for bungee jumping, ziplining across the gorge, or catching a jaw-dropping helicopter ride over the falls, this is where your heart races and your spirit soars.

Chasing Elephants & Island Escapes

Next, settle into the magic of the Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge for two unforgettable nights beside the mysterious Savute Channel. Here, you’re perfectly positioned to explore Chobe National Park. Then, glide into three nights of pure bliss at Belmond Eagle Island Lodge, right in the heart of the iconic Okavango Delta.

Namib Desert Dreams

Your journey then shifts gears as you head to Namibia. Experience the chic vibes of Sossus Under Canvas, a camp cleverly tucked into a granite amphitheater near Sossusvlei. With its minimal environmental footprint and secretive charm, it’s the perfect base for a sunrise trek into Namib Naukluft National Park—where towering dunes glow in the soft morning light and nature’s artistry unfolds before your eyes.

Damaraland & Cultural Encounters

Venture into Damaraland and check into Mowani Mountain Camp, where the hunt for desert-adapted elephants and an authentic Himba village experience await. Get lost in the timeless magic of the prehistoric Twyfelfontein rock engravings (a UNESCO gem) and dive deep into the world of the Himba—learning their traditions, living their daily routines, and forging genuine connections. A thrilling 4x4 ride through the ephemeral Aba Huab and Huab River valleys caps off this unforgettable leg.

Rhino & Wildlife Encounters

Next, gear up at Desert Rhino Camp, where an exhilarating on-foot rhino tracking adventure with the Save The Rhino Trust puts you right in the middle of conservation in action. Enjoy scenic drives and nature walks that bring you closer than ever to these magnificent creatures.

Etosha & Ongava Wildlife Wonders

As the sun sets on the desert, journey to the southern edge of Etosha National Park. After a stop at a captivating Himba Living Museum, arrive at Anderssons at Ongava—where research and conservation come alive. Enjoy a morning game drive through Etosha’s southern wilds, followed by an afternoon on a private Ongava Game Reserve that leaves you breathless.

Okonjima & Windhoek – A Perfect Finale

Wrap up your safari with a two-night stay at Okonjima, home to the AfriCat Foundation. Learn about cutting-edge cat conservation efforts before spending your final night in Windhoek. Unwind with a sumptuous brunch at Bush Camp, soak up the tranquility by the pool, and even squeeze in one more AfriCat adventure to round off an epic journey.

'' Wow, I just returned from the most incredible safari journey that’s unlike anything else''

—honestly, it’s hard to put into words. We crossed three countries—Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia—exploring the world’s largest interconnected wildlife reserve, the KA-ZA. It’s absolutely unreal! Picture driving through endless landscapes, where you’re face-to-face with majestic elephants, rhinos, and the raw power of Victoria Falls. We stayed in luxury camps like the Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge and Belmond Eagle Island Lodge, right next to the famous Okavango Delta. It was like a dream. In Namibia, the dunes of Sossusvlei at sunrise were just otherworldly. But the real magic happened in Damaraland, where we visited a Himba village and learned about their way of life, followed by night skies lit up by the Milky Way. From tracking rhinos in Etosha to visiting the Okonjima conservation center, I truly felt like I was making a real difference while soaking in the most breathtaking beauty in the world. This wasn't just a safari; it was an epic, soul-stirring adventure I’ll never forget.
